How To Win Fake Friends And Influence Shallow People: TIP #1

Photo By Seth: Red Eye Productions

Sometimes its all about who you know, but if you really don't know anyone and no one really knows you, then here's a trick that helps.

The next time you go to a pre-party, mixer, cocktail party etc (not a club - too noisy) bring a friend with you. When you walk into the venue, have your friend go one direction while you go the other. While you individually walk through the crowd, ask as many people as you come in contact you "Hey, have you guys seen ________ from ________."

Most people will say "nope," some will give you a dirty look, even more will simply ignore you for not being important enough to garner thier full attention. For those who simply ask "WHO?" have a quick and consise reponse that peaks their interest:

"Wow, you dont know______ from ________? You have to meet him/her." (Have a look of mild surprise and add a quick line that teases their curiosity but walk away right after you mention it) "I haven't seen him since the accident....so I wonder what he looks like now."

Keep this up while walking though the crowd. Finally, rendevouz with your companion somewhere in the middle and as you finally greet eachother, make a big loud scene like you haven't seen them in years.

As you walk together through the party, go up to a few of the people you asked earlier and introduce them to your friend as well as yourself. If thy ask your friend about the "accident" simply have him/her be mysterious and say "I don't really like to go into it."

Try it and see!

Fabulous 300 Member: Beau Beasely

The definition of "party boy" Beau has an outrageous energy that adds to any event. For a stint he was seen as one of the contestants on BIG BROTHER, now when your closet is "un-fabulous" but your credit is, he will help you completly change your style as your personnal shopper. He can be seen often at Karu & Y (mainly because he's dating one of the owners) but also various private events, soirees, mixers and any other party with free flowing drinks and people who will pay attention to him.

A Breif History of SPACE (Coming Soon!)

Photo By Seth: Red Eye Productions

Love him or hate him, Louis Puig has done over the years what no other club owner in Miami has done. In a world where venues need to constantly re-invent themselves, Club Space has remained relatively the same brand and style since its premiere at the Winter Music Conference in March of 2000.

Look out for a mini-documentary about the brand and the man behind it.

Coming Soon!

Dance music producer/DJ BT's (Brian Trenseau) Daughter Is Missing

Usually our world is about dancing on speakers and downing Patron shots, but when a friend of A3 has a problem, we always want to do what we can. It involves BT, a progressive DJ/Producer who was at the forefront of the 90' electronic music revolution but most recently known for working with Tiesto by laying down the vocals for his hit tracks "BREAK MY FALL" and "LOVE COMES AGAIN."

BT's (Brian Wayne Transeau) daughter, Kaia Nui Transeau (3 1/2 years old), was abducted and taken across state lines from Maryland to New York City. We believe Kaia is in Brooklyn with Ashly Duffer (her mother), Sarah Riley, and possibly others. The incident was reported to the police. She was taken from the hotel in Silver Spring, Maryland, where Kaia was visiting overnight with her mother at approx 4 am and driven to New York City.

If you have any information on Kaia's whereabouts, please email lynne@binaryacoustics.com.

Bob Sinclar (Not SINCLAIR!) Dj Profile on A3 Video

We were there when he first premiered "WORLD HOLD ON" at Nikki Beach Club during the Winter Music Conference 2006 and since then it has crossed over to mainstream radio. We spoke to Bob just before a performance at Mansion Nightclub in South Beach.

What exactly is Fabrizio attempting to smoke in this video?

It must be one of of those new fangled Italian cigarettes!

The $4190.76 Iphone Bill!

Take a look at this spoof of the Iphone commecials we made when our friend Pierre Zon Zon (a DJ so nice they named him TWICE) got back from Europe only to discover At&T's infamous Data Roaming Charges!

Fabulous 300 Member: Malinka Max A.K.A. "The Champagne Queen"

During the day this Russian born beauty can be seen sculpting her body at Equinox or lifting heavy shopping bags full of high priced shoes. But when the sun goes down she heats up various private events and exclusive VIP lounges with rivers of her favorite champagne Perrier Jouet.

If you see her out and about (and of course you will) don't forget to ask about her pink garage complete with crystal chandalier to house her Bently.

The Fabulous 300 - ARE YOU ON THE LIST?

Photo By Seth: Red Eye Productions

They are the socially aggressive locals who make up the year round South Beach scene. Not necessarily fabulous for any more reason than having their names on the right invite lists, the Fabulous 300 is made up of, in part, well known club owners, promoters, a few media types, a smattering of models, rich guys who like to buy stuff for them and a handful of hangers-on that simply like to party.

How do you spot a member of the Fabulous 300? Go out for 7 days straight hitting the hottest spots on each night. If you see the same face 3 or more times....chances are they are in the Fabulous 300! In the ebb and flow of the South Beach scene, members of this local VIP "A-list" scene come and go, so the list is always in motion.

Think you know someone who should and shouldn't be on the list? Leave a comment and let us know!

But a few notes: I have to admit, I have not yet heard some of the other nominees yet, especially as most have not yet played Miami, but often times from previous years we have seen the DJ/Producer get shafted for the normal POP REMIX flair because of name recognition. Lets hope things happen diferrently this year.

Good Luck Tijs (Tiesto's real name)! that statue will look great in your new Miami apartment!

Best: Last New Year's Eve, when we hosted an amazing event at Casa Malinka on Hibiscus Island. Then it was off to Shai's annual after hours party where the sun came up, and my hangover lingered for days.

Worst: The hangover I had on Jan. 1, 2007.

Future forecast: More idiots who think they know what it takes to make a new club in South Beach, only to fail miserably.
